Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites based on real user workflows.
  • Establish patterns, best practices and framework/methodologies to do effective product testing
  • Collaborate with product managers and sales teams to gather client use cases and convert them into detailed workflow test cases with clearly documented expected behaviors.
  • Validate that product features meet business requirements as defined by product owners.
  • Work closely with developers to establish effective test strategies, including test data planning, feature testability, and appropriate test coverage (unit, integration, e2e).
  • Maintain and update the test suite as product features evolve.
  • Act as power users of new features after testing, helping to surface usability and edge case issues.
  • Collaborate on root cause analysis and investigation when test failures or client-reported bugs occur.
  • Ensure automation coverage is updated for major bug fixes.
  • Provide feedback on design gaps and raise quality concerns early in the development cycle.
  • Help define when and how often e2e tests should run, following testing pyramid best practices (unit integration e2e).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in QA (manual and automation)
  • Strong experience in automated testing, especially at the end-to-end and integration level.
  • Experience in at least one of the following languages: Java/TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Familiar with tools like JUnit, Karate, Postman, Spring Boot Contract
  • Experience in frontend testing using Jest and Playwright
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Should be able to context switch and have the ability to work with multiple systems
  • Advanced English (spoken and written)
  • Availability to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday in Magdalena, Lima

Nice to Have:

  • Background in the Energy, Trading, or Scheduling industries
  • Experience with Python 
  • Experience defining or standardizing testing strategies in development teams
